Dizzy   has a funny post up this morning regarding an article in The Times today. I blogged on it last night.

The Times very much watered down my reasons for not attending the Innovation and Skills Select Committee. Can’t think why?

Dizzy saw the funny side of this.

There is an error in the chart accessed via a link on Dizzy’s post upon which I sit at the top.

Sadly, the chart is incorrect. It has me down as having attended one meeting of the committee whereas, I haven’t actually attended any.

 

If your failure to attend the sel ect committee is because you have lost faith in the chairman, why do you not seek a vote of no confidence in him amongst the other members; if you prove successful, you can then start attending; if unsuccessful, you can relinquish your place to somebody else who WILL turn up.

I'm on another committee, Energy and Climate Change. Wasn't even aware I was still on this one!

I am a lifelong Conservative but am unimpressed by your attitude to sel ect Committees.Being at the top of the workshy MPs list is not where you want to be

Paul, I dont quite know how many times I have to say it, I AM NOT ON THE DUIS committee. My committee is ENERGY and CLIMATE CHANGE of which I am a good attender!!

Did you not attend the first meeting of DIUS to elect a chairman?Even if Phil Willis is awful, is it not better to attend the committee and stand up to him and be a dissenting member.
