Oh No Media! Posted Saturday, 11 April 2009 at 16:45 Ive been taking media bids in my car all day, only now I can't remember what I have and havent agreed to!:(
Love the way Downing St are pushing a Labour MP out to say this is a blog spat - er no - it a situation manufactured by the Prime MInister's right hand man. It came from Downing St, the office of the PM, not a blog. Mike Spilligan said: Responded: Saturday, 11 April 2009 Please, please be very strong about this. You have many people behind you who want this vile, odious Government exposed for what it is. Wiliam Blake's Ghost said: Responded: Saturday, 11 April 2009 McBride's Resigned! Chris Paul said: Responded: Saturday, 11 April 2009 You are now libeling Brown. That's silly Nads. Take down any and all references to this being Brown ... unless you can prove that to be the case. Utter crap Nadine. You're angry but this is not Brown. Don't be ridiculous. Paul said: Responded: Saturday, 11 April 2009 Bollocks. Nadine wants an apology from Brown. Ever heard of the concept of being responsible for what your minions do "Chris Paul" ?
Go kill them Nadine!
Hell the TV coverage is funny :)
Paul Round said: Responded: Saturday, 11 April 2009 Chris Paul.Your comment is nonsense.Everyone knows that Brown is a compulsive micro manager and McBride was on his payroll at the taxpayer's expense.Brown can always sue; but something tells me he won't.Now get back to Labourlist Anonymous said: Responded: Saturday, 11 April 2009 I'm a media lawyer specialising in email and web defamation and i've dro pped you a line at your Parliamentary email address. I'd be more than happy to assist on a no-obligation basis if you'd like to get in touch. Boombastic said: Responded: Saturday, 11 April 2009 Go for it - you have the support of a great many. Chris Paul said: Responded: Saturday, 11 April 2009 Nadine is claiming not that Gordon Brown is ultimately responsible but that he knew about and approved of this activity. That is a huge stretch. It is very unlikely. It is defamatory. Is all. Jeff said: Responded: Saturday, 11 April 2009 Chris Paul,
Nadine does not accuse Brown of involvement. She merely wants his apology as this disgusting story came from one of his close advisors. Hardly unreasonable is it?
I'm not a Tory in the slightest, but this latest affair just shows how low Labour are willing to go. John O'Connor said: Responded: Saturday, 11 April 2009 Nadine, you were excellent on R4 earlier! Very impressive the way you deflected the interviewer's lame suggestion that this was about about a 'bloggers' spat', and brought the focus firmly back to Brown's righthand adviser using 10 Downing Street facilities to spread smears and lies. You have every right to feel outraged.
Don't let the worms off the hook, and with luck you can reel in the big fish too! The Lancastrian Oik said: Responded: Sunday, 12 April 2009 There is no way whatsoever what you have said about the origin of these emails is any way libellous of Brown. You are 100% correct in what you have said, and the way you have rightly expressed your disgust at this contemptible smear campaign. Stand up to them and be strong. Bill said: Responded: Sunday, 12 April 2009 I am a Shefford Resident and of course one of your constituents. I have been impressed with your representation and want you to know that you have my further support, especially at the moment.
