I have decided to fire up the blog! So many constituents have told me they liked to read it and see the photographs from constituency events, so here goes. I promise one thing, it will be as eclectic as it always was - but I will save the heavier articles for my column on ConservativeHome.

I spent this morning at Luton airport, and will shortly make the case in Parliament to support the plans to expand the airport and increase capacity from 10 million passengers per annum, to 18 million. That means growth, jobs and investment in Bedfordshire. The rest of the country may be finding things tough, but with the arrival of Centre Parcs and the proposed airport expansion, Bedfordshire is weathering the storm.
