I made the huge mistake during my 'one off' conference blog by asking the question, "let me know if you want me to continue blogging" - you have, and you do - either that or it's the Beds on Sunday winding me up and setting a man trap (or woman trap) which, considering the Machiavellian techniques used by my local Sunday newspaper would be one of their milder tactics of journalistic seduction!! Only kidding Steve! (Steve Lowe is the Editior).

All this blogging - I just don't get it - why? What can I tell you about my day that would be even remotely interesting? To those of you who have asked me to do it, here goes and it serves you right!

It's 4.00pm and we are already in usual Monday mode - manic. Did an interview with Andrew Neil for the Politics show this morning who said he was exhausted when it finished! Too many late nights with Michael and Diane!

Busy negotiating with various lobby groups and MP's re my ten minute rule bill to bring down the legal date of abortion from 24 weeks to 21 and to introduce a period of informed consent - is nothing in this life easy? I suppose the art of politics is the art of the impossible and therefore if I can just move the whole issue of late abortion just that little bit higher up the agenda it will have been worth it.
